Bio
Chris Doug / Doug Chris

In April and August 1965, two musicians were born. One to Jack and Gail Stewart, and the other to Theo and Cathie Joyce. Doug Stewart and Chris Joyce didn't know it for the first 15 years of their lives but they were destined to become musical partners and the best of friends for the next 25 years.

At age 15, Chris was playing in basement bands around town and Doug was playing in a local band called Vyper with other musicians: Randy Wilson, Mike Toms, and bassist Doug Sykes. Doug Sykes wanted a break and so the need of a bass player arose. Mike knew Chris from school and invited him to jam with the band. Chris joined Vyper as a bassist and played at clubs and dances until Vyper split up in 1986.

Chris toured with several local bands while Doug formed what became Good Question! with Rene Nickson and Rob Sokol. In 1988 Chris joined Good Question! as a keyboardist and toured throughout the 90's with the band. Good Question! still exists to this day playing a handful of dances including New Year's Eve, etc.

In the early 90's Doug and Chris started a duo project called "CD/DC" for fun and to help fill on some of the blanks created by the shrinking bar business. CD/DC's set list consisted of many styles of music including lots of country, which became useful as the "New Country Era" was in full swing.

While in a meeting with a new country music club the owner wanted a "Country Band" and not a duo so Doug quickly responded with, " We have a Country Band named STOMP LOCO!" Which didn't exist yet but because of the CD/DC's country repertoire and Good Question!'s existence, it didn't take much more than a little rehearsal, some posters, t-shirts and it was off to the races. With Chris and Doug as the nucleus of "Good Question!", "Stomp Loco!" and "CD/DC" work was steady but the demand for "CD/DC" was increasing.

CD/DC's extensive song list and ability to play arenas as well as small pubs, casinos, cruise ships, resorts, and almost any other venue has made them very marketable.

Doug and Chris Decided to pay attention to detail and started focusing on their "Live Music Wedding Entertainment Show" and have since played over 210 Weddings over a 800 klm. radius.

Throughout the year "CD/DC" Entertain at Corporate Adult and Children's Christmas Parties,1st, 10th, 20th, 25th & 30th Wedding Anniversaries, Stag&Does, Birthday Parties, Wakes, Hockey/Baseball/Soccer/Golf/Curling/(you name it) Banquets, Valentine Dances, and many "Theme" Events such as "Island Pig Roasts" "Caribbean" "Country Western" "80s/90s" "Oldies" and of course "St.Patrick's Day" on which Doug and Chris become "CD-"O"- CD" for a couple of weeks playing many Irish favourites.

"We are very lucky to be able to earn a living doing what we love to do!" and through our music we are able to help several charities such as Multiple Sclerosis, Breast Cancer, Bell Kid's Help Line and many others.

I am very fortunate to have one of the finest musicians as one of my finest friends and I hope we can continue our "Musical Journey" for many years to come!

Hundreds of guitar picks, miles and miles of strings, thousands of klms. of asphalt and dirt roads, rivers and lakes traveled Chris and Doug have sung what must be millions of lyrics strummed just as many chords and continue to make their music wherever  the roads, water or skies take them.

Thanks for listening, singing along, dancing, clapping and tapping your toes !!!

   See you soon........Doug & Chris
